Why I Advocate

I come from a long family line of people who have advocated in various communities. From Women’s Rights, LGBTQ+ Rights, the Unhoused, Food Insecurity, Disabled Rights, and Health & Safety. I even went so far as to run for City Council in my county. Which the positive repercussions can still be felt in the community. My platform issues are now regularly recognized issues of conversation within the community, and is also reflected in the emerging policies in the current Council.

“Activism is my rent for living on the planet.” ~ Alice Walker

I regularly volunteer my technical abilities and photography to forward Advocacy that makes the world a better more equitable place. It’s what I refer to as “technical tithing”. It’s the same concept as fiscal tithing, but instead of money, I use my skill sets to create websites, photography, media, that helps organizations forward conversations that improve life for all of us.
